Today when I went out to check my mail I had a nice little surprise waiting on me. A set of two glass straws from glassdharma.com. You can read my read my Find of the Day post on them here. Needless to say I was super happy when David told me he would be sending me some to try out, after I wrote it. I was also very impressed with how fast they got here. Of course I had to open the package as soon as I had it in my hands. And, after looking them over I have to say I'm also impressed with the quality of workmanship that has went into them. The glass is smooth to the touch with no imperfections that I can see or feel in the product.
I thought the straight colored one would be my favorite but after washing them out and giving the cleaning brushes a try ;) I had to try them out and the 9.5 clear bend one is my favorite so far. It fits nicely in my drinking glass without being to long and its a little smaller in diameter then the 12 blue but they both fit comfortably in my mouth when drinking.
So far the 12 blue has survived a errand trip in my purse with no breaks or chips. And being my normal clumsy self I wasn't exactly easy on them.
These get a big thumbs up from me for being reusable, durable and a overall frugal choice.
These are super affordable ranging from $5.47 to $7.97 each. Don't walk, run to get your own! http://www.glassdharma.com/

I got a mini sample of one of these in the mail today and I love it. I had a crayon mark on the wall and just three swipes with this and it was gone. This one little sample has sold me on these. I liked the regular ones but this one is even better. This gets a huge thumbs up from me. So if you have kids you need to run out and buy some of these.

After running out of the cleaner I had been useing for my shower I pulled a Action Scrubber out of my stockpile. I can say I regret it either. This thing is great my shower looked clean before I started but it sparkled when I finished. Defintely no tub ring either as both of my bathrooms have tub shower combos, and one pad cleaned both of them. Best things about it was that it didn't have a harsh smell and it took no time at all. It gets a big thumbs up from me for being affordable (after coupons of course), easy to use, and working great.

I've been using the knifty knitter loom sets for a little while now. All you need is the kit plus some yarn. They are without a doubt the easiest crafting devices I've ever used. When you first pull them out of the bag and look over the instructions it seems harder then it really is. My advice is to make a simple hat with the directions that are included in the kit. I used the small blue loom and knitted a hat for my newborn nephew and some scarfs for the girls. It was super easy and I have since bought a pattern book and the long loom kit and moved on to a hooded baby blanket. Which I can proudly say is almost finished. When you look at the finished product it looks like something you would have to use knitting needles to do but its a lot simpler and in my opinon isn't as time consumeing. I'd give this a big thumbs up for being affordable, easy, and haveing a traditional looking finished product.
